Surface Pro 3 does not connect to recent Samsung Series 7 TV

Hi,

my Surface Pro 1 does connect well with my Samsung Smart TV series 7. However, my new Samsung Pro 3 wont connect. It finds the TV and then tries to establish connection and asks to wait - maybe the TV should not popup a PIN code - but that never happens and the connection times out. Interestingly the Surface Pro 3 gets listed in the Samsung network device settings and is set to "allowed" for connection but the Surface Pro 3 still wont connect. Note i have deployed all latest updates on Samsung TV as well as Surface Pro 3.

I would appreciate to get this working again.

Thx,

Bernd

Hopefully Samsung will fix this problem for us. I have a UE48H6670 and am running a SP3. It is strange it cannot mirror and still just times out after trying to connect.

    My material is

Samsung TV : UE40H6470SSXZG(version 2130) and Suface Pro 3(latest update)

So we have both of us Samsung TV serie 6 and surface pro 3

Based on the varied responses, it appears Samsung releases different software versions based on the TV model (ie I'm only at 2125 while others are at 2130). I purchased my TV the latter part of 2014 so it's fairly new.

For those who are still unable to connect I would advise continuing to test with each new update. It wasn't until about the 5th update (since purchasing the tv) that it worked for me. or, maybe some TV aren't compatible...who knows!

I have the same problem on my Samsung UE48H6270S with Firmware 2130.

Surface 2 (which also mirrors using miracast) is working great though.

Veeeeerrry frustrating. Not very happy with my purchase..
