Surface Pro 3 does not connect to recent Samsung Series 7 TV

Hi,

my Surface Pro 1 does connect well with my Samsung Smart TV series 7. However, my new Samsung Pro 3 wont connect. It finds the TV and then tries to establish connection and asks to wait - maybe the TV should not popup a PIN code - but that never happens and the connection times out. Interestingly the Surface Pro 3 gets listed in the Samsung network device settings and is set to "allowed" for connection but the Surface Pro 3 still wont connect. Note i have deployed all latest updates on Samsung TV as well as Surface Pro 3.

I would appreciate to get this working again.

Thx,

Bernd

Ah. They know about issues with Samsung devices and Miracast on the SP3. I am personally working with someone myself on this. I don't think the fix will be a quick one. And yes, these Samsung devices work fine with everything else on the planet that uses Miracast to project. I feel your pain.

    Hi Barb,

I use neither a cable or an wireless adapter. I think, it is via Micracast (according to samsung says screnn mirroring).

My SP1 finds my tv both a playback device and a wireless display. Both work fine. My SP3 finds tv as a playback device only, the streaming of video via media player is more than very poor. streaming of pictures is ok.

I tried to reduce the screen resolution of SP3, 1920x1080, 1080x768 and any possible. Unfortunately None of these worked!  Further Search via google was brought no more infos or solution.

is this using a wired cable? if yes, what cable are you using? or is this via

    Miracast?
