Surface Pro 3 does not connect to recent Samsung Series 7 TV

Hi,

my Surface Pro 1 does connect well with my Samsung Smart TV series 7. However, my new Samsung Pro 3 wont connect. It finds the TV and then tries to establish connection and asks to wait - maybe the TV should not popup a PIN code - but that never happens and the connection times out. Interestingly the Surface Pro 3 gets listed in the Samsung network device settings and is set to "allowed" for connection but the Surface Pro 3 still wont connect. Note i have deployed all latest updates on Samsung TV as well as Surface Pro 3.

I would appreciate to get this working again.

Thx,

Bernd

Can ALL of you that are unable to connect with a Samsung/Sharp/Sony TV that supports Miracast please reply with the exact model number and if possible a link to the TV on the vendor's website? This is what engineering needs.

    Hi,

I've the same problem. I can't connect my SP3 to my TV via miracast. I've got a H6400 series Samsung TV :

I've just bought my SP3 and I'm very disapointed. I hope you will fix this issue.

I've also try to exec the Intel Widi update tool (https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/23239/Intel-WiDi-Update-Tool). The update fails with this message "Your system has an Intel Wi-Fi adapter that is not supported by this update tool".

Is it normal ? SP3 is intel Widi certified ?

    Thanks.

    Hi,

same problem with my Surface Pro 3 and my Samsung 50" UHD TV HU6900 (UE50HU6900S).

I try to use Miracast (charms, devices, project) but the connection can't be established and times out.

    Been lots longer than that.

People have been complaining about this since 2013 when the first UHD TV's came out.

Also having same problem . . . hopefully a solution?  We're at 8 months now without one.
