Yes, they are aware. When or if they will or can fix is something I have no information on.
Surface Pro 3 does not connect to recent Samsung Series 7 TV
Hi,
my Surface Pro 1 does connect well with my Samsung Smart TV series 7. However, my new Samsung Pro 3 wont connect. It finds the TV and then tries to establish connection and asks to wait - maybe the TV should not popup a PIN code - but that never happens and the connection times out. Interestingly the Surface Pro 3 gets listed in the Samsung network device settings and is set to "allowed" for connection but the Surface Pro 3 still wont connect. Note i have deployed all latest updates on Samsung TV as well as Surface Pro 3.
I would appreciate to get this working again.
Thx,
Bernd

2015-05-20T15:07:58+00:00 the hotfix is now obsolete. the firmware/driver package released yesterday has newer drivers - the video included in that is v10.18.14.4170
but this does not fix the Samsung issue.

2015-05-20T14:59:14+00:00 There is a new firmware update (May 19 update), the Graphic driver is updated to 10.18.14.4170, and it is supposed to include a better miracast support.
But unfortunately, this update still does not work for me, the problem persists. Anyone having any luck with the miracast after installing this update?

2015-05-20T14:40:22+00:00 Same issue here, samsung UE55UH6900. spent hrs on samsung and microsoft support. by the sounds of it its an issue with MS and they need to issue a fix for it. Appalling they havent all this time (i just bought my SP3)
A support staff i spoke to today, sent me a link for a display drivers hotfix (updating them to "10.18.14.4080.", you may check your display drivers version in device manager, select display device, right click properties, driver tab and note the version)
However the problem still persists.
Has anyone managed to fix this or had a solution from MS support that worked?
this cant be an isolated issue!!
