Surface Pro 3 does not connect to recent Samsung Series 7 TV

Hi,

my Surface Pro 1 does connect well with my Samsung Smart TV series 7. However, my new Samsung Pro 3 wont connect. It finds the TV and then tries to establish connection and asks to wait - maybe the TV should not popup a PIN code - but that never happens and the connection times out. Interestingly the Surface Pro 3 gets listed in the Samsung network device settings and is set to "allowed" for connection but the Surface Pro 3 still wont connect. Note i have deployed all latest updates on Samsung TV as well as Surface Pro 3.

I would appreciate to get this working again.

    I've the opposite issue the S4 works great, the SP3 hangs at the WPS screen prompt and the tv times out the connection. My TV is a UE48HU7500

    After reading this thread I tested to mirror the SP3 on my Samsung 8505 TV and it actually worked. Also tested on my WD TV Live and it worked fine as well., however much better I must say.

    Just wanted to add this info to tell people it seems to work on some devices at least.

    BTW - I have real issues connecting my Galaxy S4 to the Samsung TV but not on WD TV, in my opinion the Miracast seems not fully developed yet - far from it

    I think you're right about the network card. Why they didn't use an Intel widi chip on such a high-end product, is beyond me.

    No wonder my smart TV won't work with SP3! My guess is that there is something wrong with SP3's Marvell network card and MS cannot get the certification done. MS what were you thinking?

    I have also checked...and you're right! :(

    Certifications are only for Surface, Surface 2 and Surface Pro 2 but nothing for Surface Pro 3

    So what does it mean MS guys?? Every new model of Surface computers are a step back in technology instead to step forward? :(*&^%$^(
