Unable to load "Switch Out of S Mode" screen in Microsoft Store

I recently purchased a Microsoft Surface Go for travel, and although I'm enjoying it thus far there is a need to switch out of S Mode to install one or two additional programs. I've followed all of the steps to reach the "Switch Out of S Mode" screen in the Microsoft Store, however, the page never loads. Instead, it shows a blank store screen. Is there any other method to reach this area of the store?

Additionally, I've tried prior to updating Windows and after updating Windows with no luck.

I didn't take the laptop away with me as planned, came back a few weeks later and ran the system updates and managed to switch.

I tried running the troubleshooter again. My version of the Store on my surface Go is 11905.1001.4.0. My problem is not with any of the apps, but just that I cannot switch out of S mode. My version of the Store just doess not want to update. Is there some way of forcing this?

    Hi,

Sorry to hear you are still having trouble. Is it just the Store app that is not updating or are other apps also having trouble? Here is what I suggest trying:

    Run the troubleshooter:

Select the Start button, and then select Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot, and then from the list select Windows Store apps > Run the troubleshooter

If that doesn't work try resetting the Store:

Select the Start button, and then select Settings > Apps and then from the list select Microsoft Store > Advanced Options > Reset

More suggestions -> Fix problems with apps from Microsoft Store

    Hope this helps,

    Greg

     Hi Greg,

It's now been 3 weeks since the "fix" was published. I have tried all suggestions at least daily, sometimes twice a day. I still have not been able to get the updated version of Microsoft Store.

It seems to be just the Windows Store App that is not updating, there are updates to other apps almost daily.

There must be some other way to resolve this issue. Please help!
