Unable to load "Switch Out of S Mode" screen in Microsoft Store

I recently purchased a Microsoft Surface Go for travel, and although I'm enjoying it thus far there is a need to switch out of S Mode to install one or two additional programs. I've followed all of the steps to reach the "Switch Out of S Mode" screen in the Microsoft Store, however, the page never loads. Instead, it shows a blank store screen. Is there any other method to reach this area of the store?

Additionally, I've tried prior to updating Windows and after updating Windows with no luck.

My Microsoft store won't update to the newest version. It says 11906.1001.18.0 is current. I've updated everything on this laptop that can possibly be updated. What gives?

I’ve successfully updated the Microsoft Store to 11906.1001.24.0 and even Windows to the latest updates for 1803. When i originally booted the computer for the first time, i saw the Switch to Home page, clicked the button, it worked and i installed Google Chrome, I restarted the computer and now I’m stuck back on S mode again. When I click the button to switch back to Windows Home again, it hangs on “Working on it...” and doesn’t do anything. I have tried signing in and out of Microsoft, restarting the computer a few times, and making sure everything is up to date. What is going on here? I just ordered this laptop and I’m stuck in S mode.

I have done a windows update as well as updating apps from Microsoft Store, still no luck.

Both of my laptops have version 11906.1001.24.0, but my Surface Go says it was modified today but it still has 11906.1001.18.0 and that I'm "Good to go".
