Does Surface RT or Surface Pro support Miracast (wireless display)?

Thank you for your question. No, Surface does not have support for Miracast wireless display. You can however use the video out display with either a VGA or HDMI cable to display on a bigger screen or monitor.

How can I get a wireless display adapter that will work with my surface RT since it will not support miracast I tried a V-linker but Microsoft does not support an app for that device. What products will work with the surface RT that Microsoft has an app for?
Microsoft does not have any apps that support mirroring from the Surface RT. As you know, Miracast is not supported on the Surface RT (original). I'm not aware of any hardware vendors that have alternative mirroring dongles that have modern apps to allow you to use them with a Surface RT.
Trying to get MS Wireless Display Adapter to work with Surface tablet. There is no option under Devices -> Project -> for Add a wireless display. I have all the updates. I have restarted Surface. Still no option. Help, please!
Turns out that the Surface RT is not compatible with the MSWireless Display Adapter.

That page is for Windows in general, but is not specific to Surface. Please see the article here, specifically:
Connect Surface 2 to a wireless display With Surface 2, you can connect to some displays wirelessly. (This isn't available for Surface RT.)

The Surface Pro seems to have the specs to support WiDi.

You can see that the original Surface RT is not included.
Go back to the store (or any Microsoft store with your receipt) and get a refund. Explain that the associate was not properly trained on compatibility with other Microsoft products.
