Surface Pro 7 Overheating when charging

So I've purchased and exchanged 3 brand new surface pro 7s in the last 20 days from best buy because of this issue. Everytime I plugged in the charger, within 5 mins, the backside of the Surface pro 7 starts overheating to an uncomfortable temperature. This was the case for the last 2 Surface Pro 7s as well. Their respective lot number was 1945 and 1943. I'm beginning to wonder if this is an issue with this particular batch ... Is there any answers for this?

Yes at that point i really didn't care. I had a zoom meeting starting for work and couldn't  get on cause my 2 day old new 1800$ laptop was hot and bothered. I contacted the company where we purchased, but they dont give redunds. So much for shopping locally.

I'm experiencing the same problem - Surface Pro 7 gets very hot almost instantly when charging and cools down almost instantly when charging cable is removed. After a night of charging it's even heated up the top of my keyboard if I have the keyboard folded over the screen.

I updated to 1909 version yesterday on my 2 week old Surface Pro 7 I7 256gb and now it is overheating when charging like others are talking about. Was fine before. This is clearly a problem with the update.

Stuck at 75%, no longer charging. Icon says plugged in, but doesn't mention charging. Unable to resolve.  cpu temps at 80C  according to afterburner with nothing going on, except edge chromium to write this message.
