Battery Drains While Shutdown

Seems that the root cause of this issue is a possible software issue.  Have you considered uninstalling the update and install the update manually? We also suggest that you allow the battery to drain while it is on so your Surface will shut down. Once the device shuts down, connect it to a power source until it is fully charged. Repeat the process for the battery to be calibrated. We will be waiting for your update.

There are two answers in this thread.  The first, do not mess with the Registry.  Do not change the CsEnabled setting to 1.

The second is a Modern Standby system will use the battery when not in use.  You can make changes to your power settings to limit that usage but it should use at least some.

The one sleep study provided by the OP is dysfunctional and only shows the longest Modern Standby session to be 6 minutes.  No info can be gotten from such a report.

If you want help, tonight when you are done with your system, remove the power and let the display turn off.

In the morning, do not attach the power cable but hit the space bar to activate the display.  Let it run a few minutes and then get a sleep study report. 

If hitting the space bar does not activate the display, press the power button for about a second.  If this is required you should see a logo and possibly spinning dots but you will not be required to sign in. 

The request assumes you have not altered your configuration or your Registry.

If you want to move this along, you need to provide info which will disprove a normal situation is causing the battery drain......... please .....
