I used this cmd line shutdown and experienced no battery drain overnight of my SP4.
Battery Drains While Shutdown
I have read many posts and made many attempts to correct this problem without any success.
I was traveling for 3 months and when I returned the battery was completely dead.
Also, each night since my return, the battery drains as much as 12% overnight while shutdown.
I have all MS updates but the problem continues.
Please advise.
THX! :)

2019-07-09T22:35:35+00:00 Interesting. What command did you use DcPWS? Any switches?
I tried again evocing 'shutdown /s' and checked about 30 hours later. I had lost 53% power with only 47% remaining after booting.

2019-07-11T04:48:19+00:00 Hi,Tim923347. My experience was similar to yours. The shutdown.exe from cmd.exe did not stop the battery drain. Specifically, "shutdown /s /f /t 0".
