Battery Drains While Shutdown

I have read many posts and made many attempts to correct this problem without any success.
I was traveling for 3 months and when I returned the battery was completely dead.
Also, each night since my return, the battery drains as much as 12% overnight while shutdown.
I have all MS updates but the problem continues.
Please advise.

I shall give it a try and update of the outcome.

2018-02-27T18:03:51+00:00 You can try an (unsupported) experiment. First, create a manual restore point (make sure System Restore is turned on). Then, go to the Intel site and download the generic video driver for your system. You will need the zip file and will need to browse to the INF file in device manager and manually install.
The Intel generic drivers don't have all the Connected Standby customizations. Compare battery performance.
Don't fiddle in the registry..

2018-02-27T17:59:29+00:00 I did START > POWER > SHUTDOWN procedure and disconnected from power and removed the flip keyboard cover as well. When I check the registry 'CsEnabled' is 1. So I assume Connected Standby is ON even though I do the START > POWER > SHUTDOWN. Right?

2018-02-27T17:53:43+00:00 If you charged to 100% and shut it down from Start, Power, Turn Off and unplugged it, 83% after 24 hours is a little high. If it was in Connected Standby, this would be normal.
