Battery Drains While Shutdown

I have read many posts and made many attempts to correct this problem without any success.

I was traveling for 3 months and when I returned the battery was completely dead.

Also, each night since my return, the battery drains as much as 12% overnight while shutdown.

I have all MS updates but the problem continues.

Please advise.

    I used this cmd line shutdown and experienced no battery drain overnight of my SP4.

    Hi all,

    May I know, is there any solution for my Surface Pro 4 battery issue?

    It drains so fast, even when my surface is off. It last haslf of what it use to last.

    I have had the same problem since I purchased the SP4. I have only logged on around 42 times since new. When I shut down the device and restart the battery is drained by 15%. I took the device to Microsoft and they told me that it could be because I'm using Chrome. Took it back after removing Chrome and then reinstalled windows 10, the same problem persists. Took it again and they told me that I need to update software which I did and continue to do, still the same problem.

    I've also the same issue: battery drain while shutdown. It's a huge issue since I'm not using the device every day but only while I'm travelling. This issue leads also to an increased number of charge cycles than expected considering my usage (and therefore to a shorted life of the device).

    I really hope you can fix this issue in a near future update.
