Battery Drains While Shutdown

I have read many posts and made many attempts to correct this problem without any success.

I was traveling for 3 months and when I returned the battery was completely dead.

Also, each night since my return, the battery drains as much as 12% overnight while shutdown.

I have all MS updates but the problem continues.

Please advise.

THX! :)

I work in a large govt agency and we purchased about 6 surface pro 4’s when they were out as we were considering them for our organization. 2 out of 6 of them experienced this battery issue of course after warranty expired. After way too much time troubleshooting and following all recommendations we believe it’s simply a hardware battery issue. I gave up on the unit I was using and swapped it to another one that seemed ok and problems went away. Units that have problem drain abt 10% day when off or any other mode regardless of what you do. Needless to say we won’t be buying more of these Surface devices.

Thats great that you love the Surface 6 . I would love the Surface 4 if it didn’t have the battery drain issue & it now stops charging @ 49%.

With these issues not being fixed I will NOT be purchasing any other Microsoft products unfortunately.

    Regards Darren

    yeah its pretty ****

i've had a few replacement devices and if i leave it for a week, shutdown, the battery will be 0% which can't be good for it

On the ohter hand, surface pro 6 is great

the 4 is relagated to a media server plugged in at home
