I have read many posts and made many attempts to correct this problem without any success.
I was traveling for 3 months and when I returned the battery was completely dead.
Also, each night since my return, the battery drains as much as 12% overnight while shutdown.
I have all MS updates but the problem continues.
Please advise.

2018-06-07T05:30:53+00:00 did a complete reinstall incl. wiping the HD. No software or apps of any kind were installed. Only windows updates. Still had a battery drain problem. :(

2018-06-07T05:29:02+00:00 did a complete reinstall and cleaned my hard drive of all documents. Installed all windows updates. No apps or other software were installed. Still experienced a battery drain!! :(

2018-06-04T22:18:04+00:00 Here is an updated report. Last night I unplugged the surface from the charger and shut down at 100%. I starter the machine and it was showing 94% power, a 6% drain. The report shows it was at 86% after draining 6% while use after startup. I cannot account for the remaining percentage. Further research has shown many people experiencing similar issues but no resolution.
