For everyone thinking it doesn't cause any functionality problems.  It does actually, as mentioned by another in this thread.  The Surface Hub app doesn't recognize your pen when you go into the app.  Because of this, you can change the pen options for pressure, what it does when you click the button, and also the start button options.  All of which I want to change!

    Rubenkz,

It is an issue with the firmware update, so upgrading the operating system or the driver probably isn't going to help.

Microsoft has finally acknowledged the problem in this MSKB article (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/3024327), but they haven't posted a fix yet.  At this point you have three options:

    1. Wait for a fix to be posted in MSKB 3024327
    2. Keep trying to install the firmware update over and over again and eventually it will take (according to Microsoft it is a timing issue)
    3. Return the Surface device to MS and get a different one and hope for a different batch that doesn't contain the faulty firmware

    -James

I'm taking the fourth option. Since this yellow triangle in the Device Manager seems to cause no malfunction in the usage of the device, including the touchscreen, I'm ignoring it and continue to enjoy using my Surface Pro 3 on a daily basis.

    Bye.
