Surface Pro 3 - Missing Surface Pro Touch Controller Firmware after reimage

MDT 2013 - Windows 8.1 all updates.

Download surface Pro 3 firmware and driver http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=38826 to mdt 2013 out of box driver. Reimaged it, but missing only one and most essential driver

Surface Pro Touch Controller Firmware

without this driver, surface pro is just untouchable...can anyone help me to find this driver.

    the problem didn't cause any major problems with the pen it just stopped you from using the surface hub and a few other things related to the pen.

    Appears this is fixed, at least in my case.  Took the latest firmware update, and it took a few minutes to update next boot (rather than seconds).  Still hadn't cleared the device manager warning.  A couple days later it ran again during boot..that time it stuck, warning is gone.  Maybe I'm lucky.

    Fixed for me too. I don't notice any real change in performance of my pen though. May be a faulty pen.

    Rubenkz,

    It is an issue with the firmware update, so upgrading the operating system or the driver probably isn't going to help.

    Microsoft has finally acknowledged the problem in this MSKB article (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/3024327), but they haven't posted a fix yet.  At this point you have three options:

    1. Wait for a fix to be posted in MSKB 3024327
    2. Keep trying to install the firmware update over and over again and eventually it will take (according to Microsoft it is a timing issue)
    3. Return the Surface device to MS and get a different one and hope for a different batch that doesn't contain the faulty firmware

    I'm taking the fourth option. Since this yellow triangle in the Device Manager seems to cause no malfunction in the usage of the device, including the touchscreen, I'm ignoring it and continue to enjoy using my Surface Pro 3 on a daily basis.

    For you, may be. For others like me, everything in SP3 works just fine except touch and pen (pen works sometimes).

    It keeps failing to install the firmware after 20%.
