According to the following Microsoft Knowledgebase article, the issue is fixed in the firmware update released 3/26/15:

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3024327

This issue is resolved by updated UEFI firmware version 3.11.760.0. To download and install this update, go to Windows Update and search for “System Firmware Update – 3/26/2015.”

That last update did fix it for me. After the update I did the thing where I deleted the offending (Yellow Triangle) firmware driver and rebooted. No more Yellow Triangles!

    Bye.

the problem didn't cause any major problems with the pen it just stopped you from using the surface hub and a few other things related to the pen.

In my case, this problem caused following issues:

    1. Touch doesn't work
    2. Pen works sometime; most doesn't.
    3. Yellow mark on device manager
