im suprised as the MS support I talked too was excellent. Mind you Im from england and i got a irsh fellow and he was amazing. He said He could arrange a replacement or I could take it back to the shop and he give me a reference number to give them incase of any issues.

Try amazon though worth them sorting it for you.

Thanks!  I'm going to try that.  The MS support team is just feeding me a bunch of talk and I just don't have the time or money to continue to go through this.

    I'm with you!

I shared your MS response with my MS support and they said this.  I told them this thread started in June 2014 and it's still not fixed.  I hate that I paid so much for this product that doesn't work and MS will only send you used replacements, not new ones.  If I wanted a used one, I would have gotten a used one to begin with.  This will be my last MS product, going to apple all the way.  I have apple phone and ipads but wanted to stay with MS for computer, big mistake!

Once we get feedbacks through the issue that they get, our tech team immediately develop a fix that will be ran through an update. The time frame that we provide for the replacement is to ensure that before we deliver a replacement, it will all be tested and checked.
