Without this firmware driver update properly installed, you cannot use the Surface Hub app to adjust pen sensitivity.

I just purchased mine yesterday and done all the updates and the same firmware update either fails in the update page and i get the yellow triangle in device manager.

The surface works fine but it leaves an un easy feeling that it might fail at later date.

On a quick side note I followed some instructions which seems to fix the issue.

when you update Pro Touch Controller Firmware instead of picking that I was suggested to pick device firmware instead and seems to have worked.

    Is this correct ?

To be honest the device works fine.

What i did notice when it was installing the Pro Touch Controller Firmware on boot. It would say updating firmware and the bar would go up about 1/4 and then the screen flashes and restarts and the i get surface pro then flash and restart and again another screen with surface and a bar and it goes to 1/4 the way and the restarts and loads windows.

I would recommend uninstalling that driver (Pro Touch Controller Firmware) and waiting for the fix. The device should work fine without it. Although mine worked even with that Firmware it just had the yellow triangle. But they had me sent it back (again) for another replacement (hopefully this time really IS a charm!)
