I still use office. But I switched to the 2019 version from the 365. Uninstalling the 365 suite in Espagnol and French required a special tool from Microsoft.
Surface Pro 2017 touchpad mouse freezing
I've got a new Surface Pro 2017 and today the mouse pointer being driven by the touchpad has started freezing for 1-2 seconds.
All the latest updates are installed.
I've removed the mouse from device manager and then ran Scan for new Hardware.
I've removed and re-installed the lastest Surface firmware package.
But it still does it, however it only seems to happen when the device is on power. It works fine on battery.
Any ideas?
Regards,
Greg

2020-02-21T17:11:46+00:00 I have installed google drive and onedrive and the mouse has yet to freeze (2 days).
I would like to add my surface maximum charge capacity has changed, mine has dropped significantly since I last had this issue. For example, I used to get a charge of 48000 mWh over the 45000 mWh design capacity. Today my maximum charge is 42000 mWh and I am cycle 137.
To all those who are having this mouse freeze issue, could you verify what your actual maximum charge is?
Type powercfg /batteryreport in you CMD window.

2020-03-01T00:16:11+00:00 Okay, I noticed the cursor stall/freeze problem disappeared maybe a week ago on my Surface Pro 7. I'm not getting excited yet because the problem might recur.
I didn't do anything different. Maybe there was a Windows Update (automatic); can't remember. Anyway, the problem is gone for now.
I've had this SP7 the day it was released and the problem began right out of the box before any additional software was loaded. I've followed all MS fix instructions to no avail. I did not do anything other people suggested in these forums. All of the hullabaloo in the forums was pointless for mine. My SP7 problem even occurred in tablet mode with nothing attached including the charger and type cover.
Thankful for now. Has anyone else noticed the problem fixed?
