Surface Pro 2017 touchpad mouse freezing

I've got a new Surface Pro 2017 and today the mouse pointer being driven by the touchpad has started freezing for 1-2 seconds.

All the latest updates are installed.

I've removed the mouse from device manager and then ran Scan for new Hardware.

I've removed and re-installed the lastest Surface firmware package.

But it still does it, however it only seems to happen when the device is on power. It works fine on battery.

Any ideas?

Regards,

Greg

Seems like microsoft are ignoring this problem.

I posted months ago about this, have seen loads of others complaining of the same thing, but microsoft dont seem to recognise there is a problem.

    Any answers gratefully received!!!!

    Roger,

    Did you see my post?

The proximity of my surface pen was interfering with the touch-pad.

So, when I disabled the pen by taking the battery out, everything worked for me as normal, with no latency problems.

    Maybe give that a try.

Since I don't use the pen all the time, it seemed like an easy fix for me.

    Good luck,

    Steve
