For the heck of it, try keeping your off-hand on your tablet, touching the metal. See if it persists.
Surface Pro 2017 touchpad mouse freezing
I've got a new Surface Pro 2017 and today the mouse pointer being driven by the touchpad has started freezing for 1-2 seconds.
All the latest updates are installed.
I've removed the mouse from device manager and then ran Scan for new Hardware.
I've removed and re-installed the lastest Surface firmware package.
But it still does it, however it only seems to happen when the device is on power. It works fine on battery.
Any ideas?
Regards,
Greg

2019-03-18T13:56:37+00:00 Read all of the posts. This has been an issue for years. Microsoft knows about it but doesn't seem to want to address it. They just keep pushing out more units with the same issues year after year. It's very frustrating. I have had three surface pro models over the last few years all with the same problems.

2019-03-25T12:18:02+00:00 I also have the exact problem.
Mine seems to be isolated at work, when connected to my charger.
I use an after market charger bought from amazon.
