Surface Pro 2017 touchpad mouse freezing

So, i also get this problem and for a very long time ive been trying to figure out what the problem is because its been BUGGING me. It only happens in one room, and at night. Not plugged in. (I have a surface book but same problem) Ive noticed that when it happens, the “safely remove hardware” icon pops up for a split second on the tool bar and then goes away. Every. Damn. Time. And its too fast for me to touch. Also, if you have the settings open for “Devices”, you will notice that “touchpad” will disappear and reappear. Anyone else see this happening? I can also walk out of the room and it stops happening. EXTREMELY annoying because i do a lot of school work in here. Im believing that its EMF interference. Only thing i can think of that has an affect in a certain area.

I have had this issue for a while (And still have sometimes)

When pressing the battery icon in the taskbar you will see this window. Change the "Power mode" to "best battery life" even when on the power grid to reduce the freezing.

I really think that this issue is GPU related for Windows, because it usually occurs when screen changes is happening.

There is something with the Surface when you been working on it for a while, and it gets warmer this issue seems to increase in frequecy.

So it might be CPU and heat related too.

Try this to see if the GPU is the issue. Just go and display the desktop  (Then no windows will show), move the mouse around and see if it freezes at all when on the "Recommened mode" setting in Power mode.

Then try to bring up the task manger and show processes (that will cause the window to render all changes all the time) and see if you get the freeze. If not, try to set the battery mode to "Best preformance" again and you will have it after a while for certain. I have tried this at 5 Surface pros in different generations and they all have it.

This Power mode is mainly the issue at my devices.

No, actually, I don't mean keyboard lights.  There is a certain set of LED lights in my living room that when lit seem to be causing the touchpad freezing problem.  

I had tried adjusting the keyboard lights before based on a recommendation in another post, but that didn't solve the issue for me.

What I have discovered over time is that the plug which I use to charge my Surface is on the same electrical circuit as a set of lights.  When the lights are on, this somehow causes the issue of the mouse freezing when the Surface is plugged in.   It explains why this was only happening in the evenings for me.  When the lights are off or I'm plugged into a plug on a different electrical circuit I don't have the issue.

I assume you mean the keyboard lights? I think I've read this elsewhere.
