Surface Pro 2017 touchpad mouse freezing

I've got a new Surface Pro 2017 and today the mouse pointer being driven by the touchpad has started freezing for 1-2 seconds.

All the latest updates are installed.

I've removed the mouse from device manager and then ran Scan for new Hardware.

I've removed and re-installed the lastest Surface firmware package.

But it still does it, however it only seems to happen when the device is on power. It works fine on battery.

Any ideas?

    I just did a test with my OEM charger and could not replicate the issue. Therefore, I highly suspect that the problem is from my aftermarket charger I bought from amazon. Since the touchpad only freezes when connected to the aftermarket charger. I did the comparison test on the same outlet and location.

    I ended up taking my Microsoft charger to the Microsoft store in NYC and they were nice enough to replace it with another one.  Problem solved.

    I also have the exact problem.

    Mine seems to be isolated at work, when connected to my charger.

    I use an after market charger bought from amazon.

    Read all of the posts. This has been an issue for years. Microsoft knows about it but doesn't seem to want to address it. They just keep pushing out more units with the same issues year after year. It's very frustrating. I have had three surface pro models over the last few years all with the same problems.
