I don't understand what you mean. I am on my second faulty SP7 after the first faulty one was replaced by MS. I guess you are referring to what today's chat agent told me?
Surface Pro 2017 touchpad mouse freezing
I've got a new Surface Pro 2017 and today the mouse pointer being driven by the touchpad has started freezing for 1-2 seconds.
All the latest updates are installed.
I've removed the mouse from device manager and then ran Scan for new Hardware.
I've removed and re-installed the lastest Surface firmware package.
But it still does it, however it only seems to happen when the device is on power. It works fine on battery.
Any ideas?
Regards,
Greg

2020-03-31T18:24:19+00:00 Never tried that, but most of the time it's stalling/freezing when the charger is not attached, so that's probably not pertinent to my unit.
Most of the stalls are from 2 to about 5 seconds. When it completely locks up (freezes), I press the on/off button to turn it off and then on again and that snaps it out of it.

2020-03-31T18:12:45+00:00 My SP7 stalls/freezes in tablet mode whether attached to the battery charger or not. In other words, in my case a mouse or keyboard has nothing to do with it.

2020-03-31T17:35:15+00:00 It is a shame, I have been following this thread for the better part of a year now. And no solution or response from MS. I wonder how we could use the internet for our advantage. Contact the youtube reviewers? Dave Lee perhaps? Any suggestions?
