Surface Pro 4, Screen Flickering, Shaking

I purchased SP4 device a few months ago and it was working fine for a month. Then I noticed that when the CPU is at its max, the screen flickers a bit. Investigating further revealed that it flickers even if it is setting idle. It does not flicker if at least one of the following thing is done:

  1. A video being played in browser 
  2. If I keep the touch screen busy by either taping it or keeping a finger on it
  3. If I use the touchpad
  4. If keyboard is used for typing

This resulted in making the device completely unusable while reading articles or ebooks. I am a developer, most of the time I have to read the code and to do that, I have to constantly keep a finger on the touch pad or the screen. I contacted surface support in October and November and was told that the developers are working on the patch. Looking at the updates the developers are pushing since then, I don't think anyone is even aware of the problem there.

Just wondering if anyone else had the same problem (and the fix) and if not, what's the procedure for the refund? I will rather go for a mac then sacrificing $2000+ for a dancing screen.

    I think we as business owners with lost production and costs to set up again as well as personal users, must total in the thousands .......  I am surprised that a class action has not begun .... nobody wants to litigate but OMG! where is their responsibility to the brand .... maybe Bill Gates should stop and look to see why his brand stinks!

    Arrogance and contempt are a sure recipe for disaster, no matter how big a behemoth they (or think) they are....... THe market is littered with stories of invincible corporations now just a shadow in the past.

    If in the 3 year window, return it to Microsoft, they will give you another Surface Pro 4...

    Actually it is another persons faulty SP4 and your faulty SP4 will go to someone else and so on and so on and so on......

    I purchased a SP6 and my 3 SP4's are all members of the Royal Order of the Port Sword! (trashed)

    Actually, I returned my sp4 to MS and they gave me another flickering refurbished one. After I found out that this "new" one also had the same issue, MS told me I'm too late. The 3 year "eligible" return policy should be counted based on the day my first sp4 was bought. 

    Also, really not a fan for SP4 anymore, after 3 years.

    No fix yet and no acceptable response from Microsoft. Just a lot of disgruntled and disappointed customers.
