Maybe I should post this making a new topic, but since this thread has helped so many of us to vent about our defective devices, I was wondering if anyone was having another issue that has reared its ugly head recently (in addition to the horrible flicker),
and that is the battery of the Surface Pro 4 Pen?
I have two pens. The one I bought with the original Surface Pro 4, and then I bought another pen a year later, just to have an extra one. Well, a few months ago BOTH started to literally drain all their battery in just a few days. I've had to replace and
put in new batteries almost every week (AAAA batteries that are not easy to find here in my country, I had to ship them from the US!), and now they simply get drained in the blink on an eye. This happened to BOTH pens at the same time.
Someone could argue one pen might be defective, but both (one having been bought a year later) is impossible. I don't use them much. Literally only to do my daily crossword puzzle (like 5 mins) LOL and maybe take a few notes every now and then but rarely.
They both started exhibiting this behavior literally the same week, almost as if it was a planned obsolescence command Microsoft put in them (like apple does with some of its stuff). Both are the pens with the button at the top.
I searched on the forum and it seems I'm not the only one with the issue, but all the posts only have like one comment from a moderator saying the pen must be defective and to go to a store (same song and dance as always), but since I have two bought at
different periods, I can't be a 'defective unit'.
I was wondering if anyone here was having a similar issue and could offer better advice (I'm nowhere near a country with a MS store, so I can't go to one or send it there).
