Surface Pro 4, Screen Flickering, Shaking

I purchased SP4 device a few months ago and it was working fine for a month. Then I noticed that when the CPU is at its max, the screen flickers a bit. Investigating further revealed that it flickers even if it is setting idle. It does not flicker if at least one of the following thing is done:

  1. A video being played in browser 
  2. If I keep the touch screen busy by either taping it or keeping a finger on it
  3. If I use the touchpad
  4. If keyboard is used for typing

This resulted in making the device completely unusable while reading articles or ebooks. I am a developer, most of the time I have to read the code and to do that, I have to constantly keep a finger on the touch pad or the screen. I contacted surface support in October and November and was told that the developers are working on the patch. Looking at the updates the developers are pushing since then, I don't think anyone is even aware of the problem there.

Just wondering if anyone else had the same problem (and the fix) and if not, what's the procedure for the refund? I will rather go for a mac then sacrificing $2000+ for a dancing screen.

    Actually I have the same problem, My SP4 was fantastic and fast but from the last 2 month the screen become  flickering, now a days its really tuff to use the surface after 30min of working.

    I am a Mariner and I presaged it from UAE, Now I am settled in Bangladesh, but in Bangladesh there are no Microsoft Store. How could get my service paid or warranty?   

    Please show me a guideline to recover my Surface Pro 4.

    Mine has only started flicking in the last month or so, but it's so bad now I can only use my Surface pro 4 for a few minutes at a time now. Definitely won't be bothering with the pro 6 after this. So disappointed.

    I live in Singapore. You would think that Microsoft would have a tech office to sort it out.  I had to call a wrong number on their website 1 800 101 3659 and then realised it is only 800... This is a pathetic state of the company that cannot update its information.  Eventually I got someone in Philippines call centre.  She did not know about the replacement policy.  So I called again and had better luck.  They have arranged to send out a "refurbished surface pro". I'm waiting since 4 days.  Of course, Microsoft tech services does not work on weekends.  So if your pro is flickering, call the  Microsoft tech services and they will connect onto your computer to check.  if it was purchased in the last 3 years and is a surface pro 4, u can get a replacement.  Best of luck!!

They arrange for a courier to drop off the new refurbished surface pro and you have to pack in bubble rap and a strong box to return your faulty computer.   If you check their "find a location" page, there are sites u can visit only in the USA, Canada and Australia.  I guess they believe only in N America and some island continent.  Make America Great Again!  Don't sell to the world then if you cannot service it.  I wish I could get the top guy of Surface Pro and give him a talking.  Frustrating and hoping my problem gets resolved.
