As a frame of reference, after I returned two SP7s because I was lucky to get 4-5 hours out of the battery, I purchased the HP Spectre x360. Pretty much no matter what I am doing I easily get more than 8 hours on a charge. That is with screen brightness at 100%, WiFi on, streaming, doing data crunching, whatever. If I take the time to think about it because I am worried about how long I will be between outlets, it is not a challenge to get 12 hours by lowering the screen brightness and turning off WiFi if I am not using it. Just playing video locally, no WiFi, and it gets even more time between charges. I highly recommend it. Note this machine comes in HD and 4k. The 4k battery life is not anywhere near what I get on the regular HD. Screen is not as sharp as the SP7 or the 4k version of the HP, but it is larger and sleeker looking than the SP7 because of the small bezels, and if you are not sitting comparing the machines directly you would never notice or complain about the HD lower resolution.
Did you return them to Microsoft or the vendor? I've already sent one bank to Microsoft under warranty because of i can get only 6hrs absolute max, then it must be a fault. The replacement is the same. So i wonder if i can just get the money back from Microsoft rather than another substandard 2 in 1, then get the 360 or XPS 2 in 1.
