How is your battery life on the Surface Pro 7?

Yes and that was what got me to 5.5 hrs using extensive battery tests. This isn't a lemon. It was how it was designed

I have tried two Surface Pro i5 8GB tablets over the past two weeks before finally asking for a refund with Amazon. First one showed signs of overheating and had some screen damage. The replacement did not run much cooler, built up a static charge when connected, and (also) drained in about 4 hours normal use.

Battery life is terrible, even after trying every tweak described in the various MS Answers topics. Just this morning I saw my tablet drain from 100 to 80% in a half hour Skype call. No way will you achieve 10 hours under normal working conditions. For me that was the final straw...

You would think that Microsoft would take action to resolve the battery issues of the Surface Pro variants.  Instead, they continue selling and lying about the 10+ hours of battery life.

Shame on Microsoft !!!

My battery life stabilized at 4.5 to 5 hrs. With my portable battery  I get enough out of it. No question MS has not been truthful. I am hoping for a patch that can increase battery life an hour

I upgraded to the Surface Pro 7 - 8gb, 256GB from the SP4 8gb, 256GB. My SP4 hardly got an hour of battery and would shut off on battery without warning, so I constantly had it plugged into the wall wherever I went.  I was hoping for much better on the SP7. Currently I am struggling to get a full 5 hours...closer to 4 hours. 

Yes, I know I use Chrome and Edge, a number of Office windows open, might watch some YouTube and Netflix. 

4 to 5 hours seems pathetically small.

Any other comments, suggestions or comparisons? (I know there's a need to 'bed in' a new battery in, I've had the laptop almost 2 weeks now, the battery should be 'bedding' in by now.

La batteria non dura nemmeno 1/4 delle 10.30 ore dichiarate nel sito microsoft dove si acquista. Ho un surface i7 e la batteria (IN RISPARMIO ENERGETICO) dura al massimo 2 ore. Come è possibile che ho speso quasi 2 mila euro per una vergogna del genere. L'ASSISTENZA LATITI IN TUTTI I MODI. 1) risposta : E' COLPA TUA DEVI FORMATTARE LA MACCHINA. 2) risposta : DOPO INFINITA INSITENZA PER FAR MISURARE LORO LA DURATA DELLA BATTERIA... salta fuori che c'è installato un software microsoft che si chiama BATTERY che una volta attivato dimostrava che la batteria era durata al massimo 3 ore. INVIATO AD ASSISTENZA. La risposta del 'tecnico' ? E' TUTTO A POSTO.

LO CAMBIATO 3 VOLTE OGNI VOLTA LA STESSA STORIA.

Perchè non rispondono ? Perchè non si assumono la responsabilità? Perchè sono ancora autorizzati a venderli con informazioni fasulle ?

a proposito . Ho un ipad pro 2020 che dura 10 ore. Ho un ipad air 2 di 6 anni che dura ancora 8 ore. Ho un ipad vecchio di 10 anni che dura ancora 5/6 ore.
