How is your battery life on the Surface Pro 7?

It is no win scenario. Microsoft does this all of the time. They did it to me. An outside service repair is the cheapest and least aggravating option. You send your pro to outside service center, they send it back for a $20-$40 fee which can be in the total $125-150 range for repair/shipping (check LA) and they will warranty their repair. Microsoft is essentially closed during pandemic, dont waste your time. I had the issue with my SP4 and now my new brand new SP7 (took me 4 hr to buy from MS during pandemic). I recommend you get an outside unit to supplement battery which is one of the cheapest repair options. For my SP7 (4-5 hour battery with my logitech blue tooth keyboard and wifi), I didnt replace battery directly, I personally used a cheap $100 small external 35000 mWh battery with surface adapter and it lasts all day. Works with my charging usb-c port as well (albeit slower). That was my solution after my SP4 aggravation on replacing parts which arent replaced and voids warranty (least of your worries). One thing they dont tell about surfaces is microsoft updates kill the screen digitizer communication with OS after 2 years or so (perhaps intentionally). Simple replacement of screen will fix the problem or sometimes a competely OS reset which I hate doing. I have seen several people have this problem including myself and my screen never had a scratch on it and the unit was less than 2 years old but was refurbished and not covered under warranty. Dont bother to replace unit, they will just send you refurbished unit with same issue. MS doesnt care about battery life and always doubles what it really is

I live in Montreal. My big issue here is that Microsoft doesn't realize that this product is defective. Is that how they make money, by selling unreliable material and have the customers pay for exchanges, repairs and shipping? It's so wrong. I would understand if I had the laptop for at least 3 years. But's it's not even been 2 years! It's obvious to me that this product has a problem and I shouldn't have to spend one more penny on it. I already spent a lot on it, buying side products as well. I was so excited when I bought it. Now, I am sooo disappointed.

There are several places like CPR and others in LA that will replace a battery for under $125. That includes shipping back

I might take legal action! They are so wrong!
