HI Adam,
Thanks for the feedback. Our company has the same issue with all our new surface products (10 of them, straight out the box.) Would be great to keep us posted when intel / microsoft update you when the fix will be available.
Thanks

Hi Everyone,
Has anyone been seeing intermittent Event 4101 "Display driver igfxn stopped responding and has successfully recovered" on surface laptop 3?
Tried all the surface diagnostics tools - all clean. Uninstalled device, reinstalled. - no joy.
Not had the laptop that long so not sure if updating to the latest surface firmware is the cause.
Not sure where to go from here. It happen maybe once every few days of constant use - very brief display blanking then recovers.
Is this a driver issue with the latest intel build? Or hardware issue? Nothing else wrong with the laptop.

Will definitely update you updated but we have been going back and forth with Microsoft for 79 days.
we have 2 issues one surfaces just lock and have to hard reset.
and today mine does it also but recovers .
I've found a way where I can more or less constantly reproduce the issue now.
If I'm in another app for several minutes, and say I have Outlook open but it is behind the app I'm currently in, if I move my mouse down to the task bar and hover over the Outlook icon so I get the thumbnail preview, then click on the preview itself like I want to go to that app - that's when it happens.
All video will pause for a second or two, the screen will go black, then everything will come back and Outlook will be maximized full screen.
It's definitely something to do with the graphics driver.
HI Noel,
Yeah very similar to what I am seeing too. Did you see the previous reply from Adam Wil - He kindly updated us here that Intel/Microsoft are investigation the issue and will issue a fix soon.
Have you bothered to open a support ticket with microsoft?
Well guys intel had a new driver tried that today so far so good https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/intel-driver-support-assistant.html
