Cheers Meathook. Will give this a try as well.
Surface Laptop 3 - Event 4101 "Display driver igfxn stopped responding and has successfully recovered."
Hi Everyone,
Has anyone been seeing intermittent Event 4101 "Display driver igfxn stopped responding and has successfully recovered" on surface laptop 3?
Tried all the surface diagnostics tools - all clean. Uninstalled device, reinstalled. - no joy.
Not had the laptop that long so not sure if updating to the latest surface firmware is the cause.
Not sure where to go from here. It happen maybe once every few days of constant use - very brief display blanking then recovers.
Is this a driver issue with the latest intel build? Or hardware issue? Nothing else wrong with the laptop.

2020-04-23T13:49:45+00:00 Another insight, someone suggested to "disable hardware graphics acceleration" in Outlook settings (which likely disables it for all of Office) as a temporary workaround. I'll give this a go and see if it behaves better and report back. Makes me believe this could be a display driver/firmware issue now if it works.

2020-04-23T01:42:22+00:00 It appears to happen to me often when doing Alt/Tab and jumping between a number of open applications. I've been able to reproduce fairly easily.
