Did you still have warranty? It is unlikely that they will give me one if my warranty ended right?
Surface book 2 not charging
Hello, I noticed today my surface book 2 does not charge while plugging in the charger. I tried both while docking the keyboard in laptop mode and in tablet mode but both does not show any indication of charging. I also noticed the charger does not light up that white led to indicate charging.

2018-12-04T18:10:40+00:00 They did not even check to see if my Surface Book was under warranty, they just handed me a new charger and apologized for the inconvenience. They didn't even ask for any information or a signature.
I have found their customer service at their physical stores to be excellent (online customer service is a different story..).

2018-12-13T19:45:51+00:00 I'm having the same issue @Airslap. I hear this clicking sound when the charger is plugged in and all it does is flicker flicker flicker. This recently started happening (actually just today) everything was fine before that. I am annoyed that I purchased such an expensive laptop and not even a year in I'm having charging issues already.

2018-12-14T01:02:44+00:00 I called Microsoft and they sent out a new charger. So far it looks like it's fixed the problem for me fingers crossed but I've only had it two days so I probably need to test it out a bit longer. Give them a call and see if that fixes it for you or pop into a store and see if you can swap the charger on the spot.
Super annoying though. Mine happened like that straight out of the box which isn't a great experience because I spent time formatting thinking it was a software problem.

2018-12-14T14:13:29+00:00 That is interesting. I just returned a Lenovo and was looking at the SB2. The Lenovo X1E arrived with a display defect out of the box, for which I immediately contacted them. They told me that I could ship it back for replacement or have the display repaired onsite. Since I had already waited a week to receive it and shipping it back and waiting for another would take several more weeks (they don't do advanced replacement), I opted to have it replaced on site. Lenovo gave me a case number and said someone would be in touch with me in a couple of days. That never happened. Over the next few weeks, I had several phone calls, emails, DM's etc. with Lenovo where they claimed they would "escalate" my case and make sure that someone reached out to me to have the display replaced. It never happened, so on day 27, I returned my X1E before the 30 days ran out. I am now looking for a replacement machine. I am not sure what it will be, but it definitely won't be another Lenovo. In the meantime, I am using my older SP which has so far been problem free. But from my own experience, Lenovo customer support is beyond bad.
