Try to sell the Surface and buy a better made pc by a competent manufacturer. That's about all we can do since Msft is taking no responsibility for this junk product.
Surface book 2 not charging
Hello, I noticed today my surface book 2 does not charge while plugging in the charger. I tried both while docking the keyboard in laptop mode and in tablet mode but both does not show any indication of charging. I also noticed the charger does not light up that white led to indicate charging.

2020-04-24T02:24:10+00:00 I'd like to share my solution after going through all the suggestions over here on this board nobody spoke about yet. I noticed the USB port is charging my phone from it but not my computer, the LED won't come on the charging cable end as usual. So as a last resort before I purchase new charger I took a razor blade and scraped off that thin layer coating on the flat brass tip ends, plugged it in and everything's working just fine now.
Pro tip-unplug charger before scraping. Also i used the sharp pointed end to go over each of the 12 flat connection points.
Hope that helps somebody out Good luck.

2020-04-24T03:08:00+00:00 Yep, I mentioned that possibility above:
"I'm starting to suspect the root cause of many of the issues with the dock (usb ports and ethernet not recognized, not charging) is the pin connector socket on the laptop. It's really not a great design to start with - you can wiggle it and it disconnects which is pretty scary - and I'm pretty sure if the pins aren't making good contact, things are going to fail."

2020-04-28T17:48:37+00:00 No I think you misinterpreted what i was talking about.
The stock MS charger has 1 usb and 1 magnetic led cable on it. The cable from the charger is what I was referring to as for the flat pin connectors that i scraped/cleaned. Not the female receiver end on the laptop.
