Surface Pro 3 Slow WiFi - 72Mbps Max (driver)

I have an Apple Airport Extreme 802.11ac wireless router at home and am only connecting at a max of speed of 72Mbps (usually closer to 11Mbps if I'm more than 20 feet away from the WAP). I have two other 802.11ac laptops at home (Samsung AB9+ and rMBP) and my two other computers are connecting up at 800Mbps+ and pulling down the same on Internet speed tests; yes, I have real GigE connectivity. Is anyone else having these problems?

    Well, after the most recent update wifi has been better when waking from sleep. It is more reliable in connecting and I don't think I've had to toggle wifi after waking the Surface up to get it to connect.

    That said, it is still consistently dropping the connection. Will be in the middle of browsing and then the wifi will drop out. It may come back in 5 or 10 seconds, or I may have to disconnect from it and reconnect to get the connection back. It may be fine for an hour, then it will drop out repeatedly for a stretch of 5 or 10 minutes.

    Speeds have also not changed, still performing slower than what other people report.

    This is all on 5 ghz N-only with a separate SSID from our 2.4 band, and no other modification to the surface other than windows updates.

    Can you humor me and power cycle the router and then TRY again get me some speed test results on both bands, plugged in and not plugged in from speedtest.net and, if you are a Comcast customer, from speedtest.comcast.net. I know you said you couldn't even get to websites.

    I need to try to get someone from MS to look specifically at Apple Routers (need

    model number please, I know the firmware is 7.7.3 from your other post).

    I will try to escalate.

    The router is an Apple Airport Extreme AC (without the time capsule feature). I believe the model # is ME918LL/A. I'll power cycle the router and run some tests after work. 

    Sorry guys... I forgot to reply here with an update. So I got home and rebooted my Apple Airport Extreme A/C router and it made no difference. The 2.4Ghz N connection was bad so my next step was to delete the Marvell controller from the Device Manager and power cycled the SP3. Once it came back up and auto re-installed everything the wifi connection was working normally again. The 2.4Ghz connection was showing a link speed of 117Mbps and I was able to browse the web normally.

    Can you share the brand and model of your router please? Do you know if there

    are any 5 GHz cordless phones in your vicinity and have you experimented with

    different 5 GHz channels?
