Surface Pro 3 Slow WiFi - 72Mbps Max (driver)

I have an Apple Airport Extreme 802.11ac wireless router at home and am only connecting at a max of speed of 72Mbps (usually closer to 11Mbps if I'm more than 20 feet away from the WAP). I have two other 802.11ac laptops at home (Samsung AB9+ and rMBP) and my two other computers are connecting up at 800Mbps+ and pulling down the same on Internet speed tests; yes, I have real GigE connectivity. Is anyone else having these problems?

    I give up too!....Its been almost 6 month and Microsoft haven't figure out this one yet. I'm starting to believe it will never going to be fixed.

    I think they are trying to do the best they can without having to replace the wifi hardware.  they are limited by the hardware.  tweaking the software/firmware helps but the limiting factor is the hardware so it will never be perfect.

    I need some info from you please?

    1.  What Router are you running?

    2.  What firmware are you running?

    3.  Any 3rd party virtualization or hyperv?

    4.  Any 3rd party VPN (cisco/juniper)

    I installed the latest firmware update on my SP3 and tested it with my 5Ghz A/C SSID. Things work perfectly. Connection speed is showing up as 866Mbps and data transfers on my home network are good. Disconnected from that and connected to my 2.4Ghz N SSID. The connection is showing up as 144Mbps. Here is where the problems start. The connection is extremely slow. I can't even complete a speed test using Speedtest.net. or open up websites. The SP3 is completely unusable. This is the worst update Microsoft has put out so far. I have no idea what to think here.

    Don't know where to post this update so will do it here (where there is some history) and maybe in the new "new firmware updates" stickied thread.

    After today's (November 19) update, wifi performance remains dreadful and it is even slower than after the late October firmware update.  Transferring a folder with two files contaning rougly 1GB from desktop to Surface takes 42 minutes 53 seconds.  (It was 37 minutes 16 seconds with the late October firmware.)  A cheap Patriot dongle takes 1 minute 20 seconds.  The Surface is now 26 times slower than the Patriot dongle.

    I give up.

    I can verify this as well. 2.4Ghz wireless N performance is nonexistent. This is based on my results connecting the SP3 to an Apple Airport Extreme AC router running firmware version 7.7.3. No hyper v, virtulization or VPN running.
