Hello, when I mention I was putting it to sleep I mean I tap on the power button, or close the keyboard cover which turns the screen off, or just let it time out on inactivity and turns off the screen by itself.
Last night I was mostly tapping on the power button when I was done replying to an email, then put it back on the table, I got a beep noise that I received email so I tap on the power button and respond, etc. Most of the time it kept the WiFi connection,
but in longer periods I suppose (it is hard to know for sure), I would hear my phone beep (email) but not the SP3, so I tapped on the power button and on that screen I could see the WiFi icon had an exclamation sign or even sometimes it had no bars although
it is close to the router. When I unlocked the PC there was no internet, I swiped from the right and saw the WiFi icon had the SSID and all bars, no exclamation icon, then I clicked on the WiFi icon, then it would immediately say Connected and switch the
next second to Limited. Sometimes I was able to disconnect and reconnect to the same SSID but sometimes it required a reboot. Something it was fixed by the update prior to 7/16's update.
For example, just now, the SP3 is about 5 feet from the router and I closed the keyboard cover when I was done using it and left it alone for about 15 minutes and it was not beeping anymore when emails were coming in as it normally did before, I opened the
cover and tapped on the power button, the WiFi icon showed full bars, but I unlocked the device and same thing, WiFi icon said "Limited". After a reboot WiFi is working again. This was the symptom that we were experiencing before, so I can only conclude
that the 7/16 update broke it again since before 7/16 it was very stable finally.
At least for me.
Thank You
