Surface Pro 3 Slow WiFi - 72Mbps Max (driver)

I have an Apple Airport Extreme 802.11ac wireless router at home and am only connecting at a max of speed of 72Mbps (usually closer to 11Mbps if I'm more than 20 feet away from the WAP). I have two other 802.11ac laptops at home (Samsung AB9+ and rMBP) and my two other computers are connecting up at 800Mbps+ and pulling down the same on Internet speed tests; yes, I have real GigE connectivity. Is anyone else having these problems?

Ah, with a custom Enterprise image on Surface, it is hard to say what "current" might be. the latest driver for Marvell, the new driver model ending in .47, was installed for folks with the regular retail image when they installed the update to TH2 1511.

The drivers at https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=38826 are still from 10/26, i.e., the OLD drivers.

You may need to open a support case to get these newer drivers if you've upgrade to 1511 and don't have the newest drivers.

which exact Netgear model number? Where did you purchase your SP3? Sounds like it still has Windows 8.1 and not 10. Please confirm OS version.

Came across this thread doing a Bing search for similar symptoms. I have a new SP3 with wifi driver version 15.68.3091.193 dated 6/4/2015. I have a Netgear AC router which gives me 120mps speeds on all my other ac-enabled wifi laptops/PCs in the house, including xbox one. The SP3 is getting 11mps even when I put it right next to the router. Yes, I am connected to the AC frequency, not 2.6mhz. So something is clearly not working right.. Any other ideas? Is there some other configuration setting?
