Surface Pro 7 Freezing and Restarting

I just purchased the Microsoft Surface Pro 7 and have only been using it for one day. In that time it has frozen and completely restarted itself 4 times. It is brand new and I probably only have an hour or two or screen time. There is no specific thing that causes it, the screen just randomly freezes until the surface restarts on it's own. Any solutions or help would be greatly appreciated.

The SP7 i7/16/256 is having a similar issue too.

While writing in Onenote or drawing with the Slim PEN, the touch function crashes. You still can use Keyboard and Mouse. It is just the touch function that goes away.

I did troubleshoot several times. I call MS Support several times. I did factory restet quite a few times. It resolved nothing. I did upgrade to 2004 and 2H20 did not fix it.

I received a replacement unit 5 days ago. Same issue.

It keeps crashing randomly. Sometime 5min after start, sometimes a few hours and sometimes just 2-3min. I am working in IT. I cannot get a rime out of this.

I was using my finger yesterday, the whole evening and it did not crash. Now I am asking myself if it could be PEN related

The Firmware on MS pages are for Build 1903, but my SP7 get shipped with 1909.

Have you tried downloading the Intel App from the Microsoft Web store? You can use that to turn off the energy-saving settings on the Intel chip. I found that this fixed my Surface Pro 7 issues.

What is the full name of Intel App?

This setting option does not show up for me. Is there another place it could be located?

I have discovered that One Drive was the cause for my SP7 file explorer to keep freezing. I am not sure whether the cause was that I had to different one drive accounts or one of them is causing the issue but will update once I do some more testing. Hope this helps.
