Surface Pro 7 Freezing and Restarting

I just purchased the Microsoft Surface Pro 7 and have only been using it for one day. In that time it has frozen and completely restarted itself 4 times. It is brand new and I probably only have an hour or two or screen time. There is no specific thing that causes it, the screen just randomly freezes until the surface restarts on it's own. Any solutions or help would be greatly appreciated.

I have the same problem. Every time I am working a school lab or tutorial and handwriting on word, freezes which I would than have to restart.  I am unable to exchange since it is has been a little over a month.

    What can I do now.

I have tried all the posted suggestions and none have worked.  I've had my SP7 for two weeks and it continues.  I've even reset it completely from factory setting and the screen froze in the middle of setting up the computer.

I don't think it will ever be OK, we have given up with the surface now and bought a load of iPads, not quite the same, I admit, but stops the support calls we were having.

Interesting - out of the blue a whole raft of Driver Updates were installed on 30th September and don't think I've had a issue since - would it really be solved this time?

    Ha!

My original Surface Pro (circa 2013) still works fine. I am hoping that the Intel Power Panel fixes this.   We'll see.
