Anyway, after a few reinstalls. I still have the same issue on my surface pro. When I go a few days without using my Microsoft Sculpt comfort Mouse, I have no problems. When I do use it, I get a total breakdown of wireless connections. First my mouse stops responding. Then wifi drops, normally theres a lag before I see it show up on the wifi icon in the system tray. When I click it, it shows 'No connections are available', followed by 'troubleshoot' The only fix is to reboot, which it won't ever do properly after this error. I always have to hold the power button down and do a manual reset.
I also have random times when the Bluetooth goes out but comes back on. This can take about a minute to happen. When this happens, the wifi stays on. I also have a lot of lag in the mouse while downloading/streaming anything from the internet.
Obviously this is Windows 8.1, running on a Surface Pro, using a Microsoft Sculpt Comfort Mouse.
Hopefully this gets fixed soon!

So I just paired my Nokia 920 to the Surface over Bluetooth.
The car didn't see any Bluetooth devices when I opened the keyboard, but it does tooth up to my phone.
I cant pair the keyboard to the phone, it detected a "keyboard" but when I clicked "pair" it said it didn't work.
I'm not denying the Bluetooth and WiFi bands are close together ( 2.4 to 2.485 GHz), , but its not looking good for the keyboard so far...
Agreed the keyboard looks to be the issue at this point.

Speaking as an ex-hardware guy (albeit a few years ago <cough> ) I think it unlikely that Microsoft designed a tablet which couldn't use Bluetooth and WiFi at the same time, given that this is the third version of the Surface. Also, as has been said in this forum, it can be resolved by giving the Surface to wife and using an iPad...
I accept that a badly designed radio transmitter can bleed all over the spectrum and interfere with other devices, but walk around Microsoft Thames Valley Park, and you'll see these things all over.
The surface pen is indeed Bluetooth, it appears in the list of Bluetooth devices underneath the Tecknet Bluetooth mouse.
I've just been to see Scott Guthrie give an Azure presentation in London, he was using his Surface, and I think one of these "Universal" keyboards, with the Microsoft wedge mouse. He was poking Azure over the theatre WiFi.
Mine was working OK, I edited a Powerpoint on it a few days ago. Now its a dead parrot. Tomorrow I'll try it with my iPhone and someone's 'droid tablet, that should be the final word, I suspect its a return to Amazon.

Hmm I just had a thought, I'll nip out and see if the Audi sees a Bluetooth device when I open the keyboard...
If you use a BT peripheral OTHER than the SP3 pen and try to use miracast to project, the screen resolution drops OR you can't connect at all. Also have seen erratic NT behavior in wifi 2.4GHz when saturated. YMMV..

Your issue is with the keyboard not working? The surface pen doesn't use wireless (at least I think it doesn't).
What is the make and model of your keyboard?
Wireless 802.11b/g/n uses the 2.4GHz band. Bluetooth also uses this band. Interference is known to happen.
