Thanks for the info. I read in another forum that one rolled back the display driver version to an older date (July) and that the drain rate in that case was back to the 500 mW or roughly 1% per hour. I haven't tried doing that yet.
Additionally, Intel released a beta version of the display driver yesterday. Hopefully something will come along soon for Surface devices.
Yes, if you have 1%/h that is "ok" again... Sadly 1% drain per hour is normal in Windows 10, never had any better since Windows 10 came out, making me really angry, and I am close to switch back to Windows 8.1, where I had a drain of 0.3% per hour!! Battery
life is the most important thing on a mobile device, and Microsoft even claimed that Windows 10 should drain less than Windows 8, or even give options for power saving like turning off background services or such, which was totally a lie.
