i5/256 Surface Pro 4 overheats and battery drains while 'sleeping'

My SP4 gets very hot and drains the battery very fast even though it is asleep. I found it very hot in its sleeve and down to 28% earlier today. Found it dead later in the afternoon. This is one of MANY issues this device has.

(My SP4 is not part of the insider program)

We released an update on 2/17/2016 that addresses this issue.

We recommend that you install this update to keep your Surface performing its best. You can get updates now by checking Settings> Update & security> Windows Update.

To confirm the updates are installed, check Settings> Update & security> Windows Update> Advanced options> View your update history.

    My SP4 has the same issue. It shows 0% for low power state, and both the CPU and graphics consume high power in connected standby.

    Just to follow, this is my connected standby session from last night, the two hours before it slips into hibernate  (essential due to me having an additional issue where the SP4 won't wake if left for many hours in CS).

    From the looks of it, this is an issue with the processor and graphics being kept from going into low power state, hence the CPU C0 time and Intel Graphics 520 time being the most. My event viewer shows nothing but the system entering and exiting CS, so there doesn't look to be any events preventing it from going to sleep.

    I hope that MS solve this ASAP, I would like to be able to use this mode without losing all my battery.
