I have the beta installed. Will test sleep soon. Edge doesn't seem to crash on sites that it did in the past. For example, scrolling through sites heavy on images would almost always cause a driver crash, e.g, catsofinstagram.com/archive.
You may have the old July driver still available even after the updates.
In the device manager, go to display adapter and update driver. Choose Browse my computer option, and then Let me pick from a list towards the bottom.
How is the beta driver working with the battery drain? My system restore to the pre-hardware update -- which rolled the video driver back to the 10/27/2015 and the battery control driver back to 6/21/2006 (that's not a typo!) -- seems to have mitigated
the sleep drain issue. I'm still watching, but a sleep report produced after the restore did not include the two dreaded items like before (the Intel HD Graphics and the CPU C0 Time).
As a note the battery is charging much more quickly too. I suspected this would be the case. My logic is that if the device is eating power because of these two processes during sleep it is also doing it during wake. Charge increased the battery level
but it's being decreased at the same time due to the issue that is easily seen during sleep but not so much during wake.
