I have massive battery drain since November update on my Dell Venue 8 Pro too, I did already a clean install from newest Media Creation iso, without success. It is a perfectly clean install without any software installed, except Windows 10 default apps +
Intel driver package for z3700 Atom from Dell's website.
Drain is about 1-10% per hour in connected standby, where normal drain was always 0.33%/hour under Windows 8.1!! The drain already was always bad under Windows 10 compared to Windows 8.1, but now it is totally bugged and broken.
I have already tried to disable WIFI when in standby, without success.
Also tried http://download.cnet.com/Auto-Mute/3000-2084\_4-75110922.html for fixing the Intel audio preventing sleep, without any help.
For the SP4 owners, just disable Windows Hello, should help a lot for you: http://www.techradar.com/news/mobile-computing/laptops/surface-book-and-surface-pro-4-battery-life-woes-caused-by-windows-hello--1308020
On my Venue 8 Pro there is no Windows Hello though...
