I had an issue this morning where Surface couldn't find any wifi networks (when 5 were in the area) and it was connected the previous night. I solved this issue by searching windows rt for Network. Open Network Connections, find the wifi device and then disable this connection. After a minute - I re-enabled the connection and then it started to work.
Just wanted to share my experience if anyone runs into the same issue. Thanks!
Nate

Greetings everyone,
Thank you for your continued interest, feedback and assistance in investigating the Limited WiFi issue on the Surface.
Not all limited connectivity scenarios have solutions that can be controlled by the Wi-Fi drivers of a given device. Limited connectivity scenarios result from a complex interaction of device Wi-Fi drivers, access point firmware, access point configuration, and other environmental factors.
If following the steps in the provided links below fail to resolve your Wi-Fi issue I encourage you to create a new thread.
You will most likely have to do a REFRESH. Most of us has had to do that. For some reason or another the driver gets corrupted. You may also do a trick that most others have done as well as long as you don't have the 8.1 Preview of Windows 8 RT installed.
That trick is to open the Control Panel and go do Device Manager. Look for the Marvel WiFi adapter and "Uninstall" the driver but "DO NOT DELETE IT". When finished, reboot the tablet and it should connect.
Try that trick first and if it doesn't work, then do a REFRESH.
Hello priscillaodendaal,
Sorry to hear you are having problems connecting to WiFi.
You should be able to connect to WiFi. Are you getting any errors when trying to connect? Are you able to see the networks and not connect to them?
Let us know.
Best regards.
As of 4/29/2013 Still having the problem on my two surface Pros no matter what router it is hooked up to, but wanted to post some new observations.
(sorry post got cut off)
I was watching the connections using my router running openwrt. What I noticed is of the 5 or six devices connected that only the Surfaces Pros constantly lost connections. It would show asingle level of 35db/noise95bd then suddenly one of the pros would show no signal. Then 2-3 seconds later a signal. During the time it showed no signal the wireless indicator on the computer would not change. Only if the user tried to use the internet would it change to show limited connectivity. The connections on each machine would drop every 5-10 seconds before coming back on. Every few minutes they would drop for 1-2 mins then return, but every 15mins or so appear to drop out completely and need the wireless connection reset. It maybe once it hits the limited connection that it had to be reset.
In addition I began wondering something. Maybe the problem is somewhere else besides the wireless portion. The reason I say this is I first noticed the network connection problems while using a USB RJ45 connector made by ORICO which based on LAN7500 chipset (http://www.smsc.com/Products/Ethernet_and_Embedded_Networking/USB_to_Ethernet_Controllers/Standalone_USB_to_Ethernet_Controllers/LAN7500).
I was having many connection issues with this device, not realizing it was the same with wireless. The one thing I did notice with the wired device is I was completely unable to do some things like login into my local router web control panel. It would just plain lockup.
Not sure if there is any connection, but is it possible somewhere there is just a routing problem with the pro's?

Ok now I am getting where it says connection is fine, but no connection. Then other times it says connection limited but the connection is fine.
_______________
getting to critical levels in the last 3 days where I have to reconnect every 2-3 minutes on both machines.

sorry for all the updates, but I just found a new driver for my dock V2.2.2.2 and installed it. Now I have wired networking on my surface. I tired to log into the router and it wouldn't let me. This time I disabled wifi and I was able to immediately log into the router via the wired. So not only does the wireless affect the wireless it seems to affect any routing the computer is doing via any network connector. Now that I have disabled the wireless I will see if I have the same connection problems wired or not.
