Surface Pro 4, annoying noise from the back!

Can someone explain why the back of my surface pro 4 (only when the brightness isn't 0% or 100%) makes a noise?

For example, when it is on 25% of brightness it starts making a strange noise slight like a whistling...

Can someone help me?

I got my Surface Pro 4 for Christamas.

I was initially delighted with it. Sadly, though, the high pitched noise is very apparent on my machine. I have this noise on all settings of screen intensity. My wife hears it too, even though she's not near the Surface Pro4. I have switched the Surface pro off, and the sound is still very loud in my ears. I really need to resolve this soon, as it is driving me crazy.

I am reluctant to return the Machine to John Lewis Store. I have a lot of data on it. But think I am seriously developing Tinatus.

    My head is still ringing!

It was two threads before and a moderator merged them together even though they are two separate problems!

The moderators seem to blindly merge threads together even when it's not appropriate and it makes them incredibly difficult to follow defeating the whole point of having a forum.

Mine has an electrical noise on the upper left side of the SP4 screen and usually happens when the power is plugged in and fan is running. Touching the screen or writing with pen using slight pressure causes the noise to sound like a electrical metal grinder, how loud it will be depends on how much pressure was applied on the screen.

I suspect this is due to the fan and the screen being so close to each other or I don't know.

What is strange is that I've owned the SP4 for 3 months now and I only noticed this noise last week!

I think it would be helpful if the Forum Moderator split this thread into two threads since we are all talking about two different problems:

    1. Noise based on CPU usage: Singing Cricket Problem
    2. Noise based on brightness setting: Whining Tinnitus Mosquito Problem

There's a long discussion about this topic already.

I suggest you have a read there.
