I too having the same issue. My wifi is up and running the video does not stop streaming however the Microsoft Wireless display adapter crashes. And is also very hot. I let the device cool and I can get about another 5 minutes of play before crashing again.

2016-02-07T21:07:04+00:00 SurfacePro3_Win10_151026_2.msi did the trick. Download it, use device manager to delete the Marvel Avastar wireless adapter. Reboot. Run the downloaded file. Reboot.
Is there a similar fix for the SP4? I'd like to see if I can get mine to work.

2016-02-07T14:33:51+00:00 After one month of unpredictable presentations I switched to using a Chromecast instead, with no more disconnects. Now, more than six months later the Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter hangs unused on the back of my TV.From time to time as updates get pushed out to my Surface Pro 3, I try again to use my MS Wireless display adapter. It connects for no more than three minutes, then I hear the system noise indicating a hardware change. At that moment, repeated so many many times, it is apparent I will never get $60 worth of use from it.Even though the Chromecast says it is experimental, the full screen display of my $30 Chromecast just works, every time, and has the advantage in many cases because it will continue streaming even when my Surface Pro 3 goes to sleep.Edit...
SurfacePro3_Win10_151026_2.msi did the trick. Download it, use device manager to delete the Marvel Avastar wireless adapter. Reboot. Run the downloaded file. Reboot.
I have just enjoyed my first uninterrupted hour of wireless display.
